Back From PA

Most of you who read this blog probably already got my update from PA via Email, but for those who didn't, I thought I'd fill you in.

On the 23rd, I went to Philly to Jefferson Headache Clinic. I saw a psychologist who recommended that I look into a pain management clinic, and learn some techniques to help deal with my pain, such as meditation, etc. Then I met with my neurologist, and went thru the usual life history stuff. She met with the head guy at the headache clinic, and they came up with a plan for me. First they upped one of my medicines, put me on a new one, and also gave me a new one to take when I get my REALLY bad migraines, not just the normal daily ones. This medicine, she said, will basically just knock me out and help me get some sleep. Also on their plan is to admit me to the hospital up there in Philly, on January 26th. I will be there from 3-14 days, depending on how well I respond to the medicines. Basically they're going to try different "cocktails" of medicine and see what works best for me....

I feel really pleased with my visit, and have faith that this will be the place that helps me get over these disabling headaches.

Thank you all for your continued prayers!
